Happy Veterans' Day

As Christians, we understand that giving your life for another is the essence of Christ-like behavior (Jn 15). For those who have served their country and given of themselves to preserve freedoms and liberties, we say thank you for being like Christ. In what way have you given of yourself?

NOTE: As a former USAF member, churchtoons' author Bob Church gives all of his fellow vets a shout-out and a call for support in any legislation that will provide relief.

Each of the cartoons on this site is an expression of a sermon I heard in church. As a cartoonist, my method of understanding complex theological topics is to boil them down to simple images.

These images will never do justice to the sermons from which they are derived, but hopefully, they convey at least one aspect of those sermons to you, the reader.
